Open Enrollment Self-Services: 

Administrators can add new benefits to the system, design the open enrollment process and monitor every stage of the open enrollment process.

Pre-Open Enrollment

• Select and set up all plans for the new period/year
• Add scheduled life events to the program
• Assess and modify eligibility
• End existing plans that are no longer being offered
• Add new plans, options, and rates to programs
• Modify existing formulas and/or add new formulas
• Modify premium and benefit groups
•Close unprocessed life events
•Maintain participant eligibility

Open Enrollment

Employees can view current benefits summaries, compare costs and plans for current and new plans, or make benefit elections from a list of eligible benefits.

HRadvocate’s integrated payroll system features multi-location and multi-currency support, increases consistency and accuracy of data, eliminates duplicate data entry, reduces administrative burden and saves time.
Our Payroll module reports YTD payroll and HR data while enabling you to manage effective date based transaction records, forecasted and future dated transactions and then push paystub data to employee self-services.

During Open Enrollment, employees can view current benefits summaries, compare costs and plans for current and new plans, or make benefit elections from a list of eligible benefits. Post-Open Enrollment they can continue to use benefits self-services and life events to make adjustments to their benefit records. Employees can waive benefits, review, add, modify and remove dependents or beneficiaries. Employees can save in-progress enrollments and then return to modify choices, make additional elections and complete the enrollment process.

Benefits administrators can carry out open enrollment in HRadvocate in the following three stages:

  • Process the open life event
  • Check for errors and resolve
  • Run default enrollment process
  • Enter participants' enrollment choices
  • Recalculate participant values
  • Process life events that occur within open enrollment period
  • Close the open enrollment period
